NACEE Future Leaders Program

The Nebraska Alliance for Conservation and Environmental Education (NACEE) is seeking applicants for a new program focused on supporting diverse future leaders of environmental education in Nebraska.

 

The goal of the NACEE Future Leaders Program is to provide support to students who hold an identity or identities of historically underrepresented groups in the field of environmental education or a related field. If selected for this program, participants will receive a $500 scholarship ($250/semester), NACEE Conference admission, and an annual (1 year) NACEE membership. Awardees will also be paired with a NACEE board mentor and be required to attend (1) cohort kick off meeting fall semester and (2) optional chats with a NACEE Board member during the spring semester. 

 

Selected applicants must be able to show proof of enrollment in post-high school classes (community college, undergraduate, graduate, etc.) in environmental education or related fields. Enrollment must be in a Nebraska placed program. Exception if the student lives in Nebraska, but is enrolled in virtual courses from an out of state institution.
